Fusidic acid, also known as fusidic acid, sodium fusidic acid, sodium fusidic Cephalosporin P is similar, not a hormone, and is produced by Fusidium coccineum or certain Cephalosporium spp in fungi. The antibacterial spectrum is narrow, similar to novobiocin, but it has a significant effect on Bacteroidesfragilis, while it has a weaker effect on Streptococcusspp and S. pneumoniae. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the protein synthesis of bacteria and play a bacteriostatic or bactericidal effect. It has a strong antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus (including methicillin-resistant strains or other antibiotic-resistant strains), and also has certain effects on Streptococcus, Enterococcus, Diphtheria, Clostridium, Neisseria Chemicalbook and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Antibacterial effect, weaker effect on Bacteroides fragilis. Except for Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Clostridium difficile, Bacteroides fragilis, etc., all of the gram-negative bacteria are resistant to this product. In vitro, staphylococci are extremely resistant to this product. Bacteria have no cross-resistance to this product and other anti-infective drugs. Fusidic acid is clinically used for osteomyelitis or skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria. It is also used for deep infections that have failed other antibiotic treatments, such as sepsis, pneumonia, and endocarditis. Adults: Orally, 500 mg once, tid; double for severe cases. Local administration, bid to tid, apply to the affected area for 7 days. When treating scabies, the course of treatment can be extended according to the condition. Children: Orally, 50mg/kg per day for children under 1 year old in three divided doses; for children aged 1 to 5 years old, 250mg once, tid; for children aged 5 to 12 years old, the usage and dosage are the same as adults.
